I have a 2011 Jetta mk6 and it has this it’s not new unfortunately but it is very very handy and u don’t have to be faster (technically) u pull it halfway and the boot falls shut on it own it’s easier than it looks

You missed the best part: if you leave your keys in the trunk and close it, the car automatically pops the trunk back open for you

Wow it still doesn’t take away from the fact that its a vw I’ll see this jetta at the junkyard in 5 years. True story I was at the junkyard near UCR college and i came across a jetta I’m guessing 2010-2016 no body damage so im guessing that litle pos VW engine gave out or it was too much of a headache/the owner got hit with an outrageous bill and funny enough the only new cars you’ll see at the junkyard are always european and i see a few kias but we all know the story with those, blown engines b4 after the warranty expires and easy to steal

By time, the handle will be a bacteria breeding ground. The purpose of this is to close the trunk without staining the car with your fingerprints, atleast it makes a lil but more sense to me
