This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2025 Chevrolet Equinox compact SUV. Bold and rugged looking, the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox. How about this Cacti Green colour? We love it with the white roof and mirror caps.
The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox gas model is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder with 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. AWD models have an 8-speed automatic transmission and FWD models a CVT. FWD and AWD models are available in both Canada and the US.
Standard 2025 Chevrolet Equinox features include, an 11” digital driver display, a 11.3” touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 6-speaker audio system, heated front seats, cloth upholstery, 6-way manual driver’s seat, 4-way manual passenger seat,
a heated steering wheel, manual liftgate and Chevy Safety Assist.
The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox interior feels quite upscale for the non-luxury compact category with the larger screens but also the lighter interior colour called Maple Sugar, it’s a micro-fibre/faux suede texture that feels very soft to the touch. The seats are comfortable and offer plenty of thigh support. The Equinox comes with plenty of available features like driver seat memory, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a 360-camera, a power passenger seat and a panoramic sunroof. Whether you choose to add more or keep your costs down, I think you will really enjoy the drive of the Equinox and the space it offers.
The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox fuel economy isn’t great in the city, 10L/100 km, 23 MPG and 8.2L/100 km, 29 MPG highway.
Pricing is competitive. In Canada, the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox LT FWD/AWD models start at $35,531 CAD/$37,831 CAD, RS AWD $42,631 CAD and ACTIV AWD $42,631 CAD.
In the US, FWD and AWD is offered on all trims. LT FWD/AWD $29,995 USD/$31,995 USD, RS FWD/AWD $34,395 USD/$36,395 USD and
ACTIV FWD/AWD $34,395 USD/$36,395 USD.

one week ago we traded a 2019 Equinox LT AWD with a 2.0T engine with 54000 mile for a 2025 Equinox RS AWD. The 2019 was a trouble free car. only required regular maintenance and one set of tires. we have put about 350 miles in the 2025 so far. the 2025 is much quieter in the cabin. less road and wind noise. ride is better and the seats are more comfortable. I am 6 feet tall and plenty of front and rear leg room. getting in and out of the car is easier than before. We went form the 2.0T engine(a real rocket) to the 1.5T in the 2025. the 2025 has less power, but it is way more than sufficient for the needs of the average driver. Love the car! I expect it to be as reliable as the 2019 model. I feel your reviews were spot on. I enjoy your reviews.thanks

That interior is a beauty! And I love that Andrea matched the interior with her jacket, and the exterior color with her pants. Well done!

The Equinox always gets a bad wrap, but honestly, my parents have owned one for more than 10 years (2014 model) and have had zero problems. It's been a great vehicle for them.

I just took delivery of a 2025 Black Mosaic Metallic Equinox. Had it on order since late November.

Before I watched your video, I made a snap decision and purchased a 25 Equinox Activ AWD in Electric blue, Maple Sugar seats and sunroof.

I’ve been going back to videos to see reviews to justify my snap decision - because I LOVE my car

Yes, the power isn’t huge, especially because i had a Mazda 3, but the torque is great and the drive is sooo smooth.

For my All Terrain tires, yes they make noise initially.

But after our first long trip the tire noise went down as the rubber is broken in, and I didn’t hear/feel it nearly as much.

And that front display is what got me - it is so gorgeous in person

Overall I LOVE my 25 Equinox Activ!

We love our 2022 Equniox LT AWD for the money and value is great and the reliability from new to 67, 000km has been great ! Only oil changes for maintenance.

The new 2025 we had the pleasure of driving it as a service loaner while in getting our winter tires on. Chevrolet is raising the bar across all SUVs for Chevrolet, Buick and GMC !

They should not be overlooked. In fact they should be placed at the top of the list.

Had 2022 RAV4 rental and it was lots of plastic.

Gm is knocking it out of the park with their SUVs- huge improvement. We bought a 2024 CRV Sport Touring Hybrid in May- had this been out then, we would have seriously considered it.

All I know is that the two-tone white roof trend needs to blow up! Black roofs are all well and good, but here in Texas summer heat, that white roof reduces cabin temps and looks cool to boot!

The interior colour and fabric combinations are beautiful ✨

Great review as usual, and I am glad someone is giving credit where credit is due. I like the design and size of that Chevrolet.

I bought a new Equinox in 2023 after watching your video. I never thought of this brand, but I absolutely have fallen in love with it.
In 19 months I've done 56, 000kms, hands down it's the most reliable car I've owned (always owned Japanese and German)

Outstanding Review!

I purchased a Loaded 2025 Chevy Equinox RS AWD for my daughter to go back to College this past August: Best Purchase I've ever made!

My Graduating Thesis was the Auto Industry, I researched vehicles for 6 months before I made my final winning choice.

Another solid vehicle by Chevrolet. My parents were looking for a new vehicle back in 2018 and did a ton of research on the various models available (compact crossover). They ended up with a new Equinox (first year of previous generation). Despite ranking in the bottom half of most comparison tests, I told her to ignore the reviewer ratings and focus more on what vehicle fits them the best (wants, needs, features, comfort, price, etc). It ended up coming down to a choice between the CRV and Equinox and they ended up with the Chevy simply because it still checked off more boxes and was about $3500 less expensive. They've had it almost 7 years now and haven't had any issues with it. They've been very happy with it. As you guys always say, check out the various vehicles and get the one that you like (suits your needs most). It may not always jive with the ranking online, but each person has different weighting in the various categories, so what a reviewer might find important, a regular customer may not (and vice versa).

Styling is a matter of taste, but I love this! Looks great inside and out! Really nice option in a very competitive segment.

Great review! Currently have a 2023 GMC Terrain Denali AWD (perfect vehcile for me), but really like the redesign of the new Chevy Equinox (gas) & the upcoming GMC Terrain. Agree that this model would sell even better w/ an aggressive price point (similar to the EV Equinox) AND Hybrid technology! Another vehicle that w/b a strong contender is the new for 2025 redesigned VW Tiguan. Can't wait to see your review on the new for 2025 Tiguan! Likewise, VW is "planning" on waiting a year (or so) to release the Hybrid Tiguan in the North American market. Europe already has the redesigned Tiguan as a PHEV.

Just recently was able to take the 25 Equinox for a spin(have the 22RS currently). Was pretty impressed with the new inside and out redesign. Little details like the dash speakers grills are not independent of the dash materials. It's all integrated into one type of material so it's hidden and I like that. My RS has 170hp but apparently the 25 has 175hp with the same torque. Driving it I noticed a little more get up and go from a stop. Does the mileage get affected? Yes by like a 1km or two, so no big deal but again it's about how hard you are on the gas pedal. I like how Chevy has kept the physical buttons for the hvac/heated seats and not just in the screen.

Looks like a solid build better than most SUV's inside and out. The drive looks good, really smooth and no up and down vibration. The wheel base is longer and the vehicle looks wider making for less roll over than other vendors. And the Equinox EV version needs more work because it bounces you around in the back seat giving your passengers motion sickness.

Very good looking. Just wish they had an audio upgrade option
