I love the fact that you derive the formulas for calculus rather than just giving viewers the fomulas. Youre awesome!

Professor RobBob, thank you for a well explained video/lecture on the Area of a Surface of Revolution in Calculus Two. The derivation and explanation of the Area of a Surface of Revolution helps me with understanding this material. The examples/problems are straight forward from start to finish.

Hi Bob. Is it okay for you to do a video related to the path function and line integral? I really find your videos helpful!!!

I used Trig substitution to take the integral. Will I arrive at the same answer? Not allowed to use graphing calculators on tests. Great Videos, Thank you!!

Why would the r(x) not be the equation of the curve ((-1/2x^2)+8)?

Hey ProfRobBob. At 23:12 should the denominator be 4x^6 still when you change 1 to 4x^6/4x^6? before you plug into the formula should it be ((x^6)+1/2x^3)^2? Also why did the x^6+1 change to x^6-1 when you plugged it into the formula at 25:20?

Problem I have is in my Calc. 2 course, we have a Exam problems that cover z-axis interpretation evaluated on an x integral. But the professor has only covered basic xy examples. I have 0 idea how to approach these.

Is this same as Parametric Surfaces and their Areas?

Nice tutorial, but in all the examples you used the wrong formula, I mean you used the formula as revolving about x axis NOT y axis as the problem asked.
