I'm patiently waiting for the aliens. I got my lawn chair out here in Northern New Mexico. I just cracked a beer as I wait. Los Alamos is in sight from my lawn-chair vantage point. That must be a hot spot. But I see nothing... so far... not even a mouse. As soon as I encounter the aliens, I'll let you know.

Regarding cellphone cameras and capturing videos and photos at night: those phones are simply horrible at anything lowlight. This idea that we "should have good footage" of these things in 2024 is just based on the assumption that cellphone cameras are better than they are. The reality check from any photographer worth their salt is: they're not. The sensors are too small, borderline useless for challenging captures like distant, small lights in the dark. Some old analog systems actually have severe advantages over digital cameras and especially cellphones. But, you'd need at least a fullframe camera with a suitable lens to capture anything reasonable, combined with a great skillset for postproduction and noisehandling, and even then it might be difficult.

Videographer here, frequently capturing northern lights, so I would claim way above average experience with extreme lowlight video. Hope this is enlightening as I see this argument that today's phones "should be able to" coming up quite frequently across channels talking about UAP/UFO's.

Ok here is a thing, I actually saw something myself recently in Poland where I live. So 3:30 am-ish and my fiancé is waking me up. She says „hey come to the window” she describes to me that there was a super bright light what made our bedroom like during the broad day light! There was flashes here and there when finally behind trees one big flash (storm like light) I then saw black object like massive sourcer no lights on it because of this light. It looked very „tactical” call of duty style. Finally my dream came true as I always wanted to see something like this. The whole event was taking like 30min up to an hour I wish I grabbed a camera but I didn’t, dunno why. Also sissy for my English is not my first language. Happy Holliday season and remember, look up its out there folks!

Not silent.. no way a battery powered drone can stay aloft for hours. Neither can a liquid fuel powered drone stay aloft without refueling. The whole thing doesn't make sense.
