Anna should have had a closer look at the fine-print of her rental contract. The old Viennese apartment is a creature with never-ending appetite, living off the youth of its residents.

And here is me thinking the apartment would give her back her youth and let her go because she proved herself to be a good person. :(

Anna doesn't have feelings for her ex. She's a good person who didn't want to inflict unnecessary pain upon others. Not to mention she did it for greater good.

Wow, this was well written. Her heart couldn't take allowing another person even if it's her ex to suffer. She has a mature and caring heart. Very noble

I swear I thought the ending would have been that because Anna displayed such selflessness, that the apartment would give her back her youth…

When you hear an "extremely low rent" for a place that looks much more expensive. ALWAYS assume something's up and find out exactly why... also, always read contracts.

If the house was lonely instead of ageing the tenants, it could have kept them as themselves, thus prolonging the time spent there.

To be honest, I would've let the cycle end with me too. Why let other people go through all of that agony you went through just so you could live a tiny bit longer? And I mean, what life would you even have with a body that old and fragile? And lets not forget you're a young person just stuck in that old and fragile body. I can only imagine life would suck even more than it would for an actual old person.

"Anna is insane" took me out 🤣

Anna is seriously a saint. If my ex was about to sign this paper and be doomed to live in this house, I would just let her.

*"People these days don't retire until they're almost dead"* He's out of line, but he's right xD
Anna is a hero! She sacrificed herself even though it's her ex boyfriend

"People don't retire until they are almost dead" the saddest truth i've heard today

Since the government knows about the haunted apartment, they could use it as a means of disposing of convicts. That would make more sense then letting it kill random people.

Why didn't muller end the the cycle himself when he could havecone by not renting the house to anyone.

if a house/apartment/etc has extremely low rent, definitely ask if there's any weird world-altering side effects to living there for sure

This is exactly why it’s important to read the terms and conditions

A metaphor for how we treat/forget about our elders later on in life. It's like you can go out when you're young, but once you hit a certain age, people expect your life to be confined to a certain distance around your home. Even later in life they expect you not to really go anywhere, especially alone. Even Anna asked the first lady why she would travel at that age.

for those who wants to watch this: The movie you're referring to is titled "Vienna Waits for You." It's a short comedy-horror film released in 2012. The plot revolves around Anna, who, after a breakup, moves into an old Viennese apartment. Unbeknownst to her, the apartment has a never-ending appetite and lives off the youth of its residents. The film was directed by Dominik Hartl and written by Sarah Wassermair

For those wondering, the apartment feeds on the life force of those who sign the lease. It’s not that it’s aging them, it’s that it’s stealing their life force to renew itself.

The reason why it feeds them is because it wants them to stay and doesn’t want them to resist. It’s clearly not evil either, it just has to do what it does to survive.

It's nice and refreshing to see someone not be spiteful or selfish even when it's an ex.
