To all the 12 year olds out there, No you are not too young to voice act. Voice acting and Acting are the EXACT same thing. If you can act you can voice act. It's simple. You start acting at any age. Same goes for voice acting.

NGL, I know it's not your current style of content but I think most of us would love an updated version of this. For a lot of us you're the only reason we even know that it's possible for someone, who isn't a big name actor or a large personality, to be a voice actor. I was going through my saved videos and saw this and realized that a lot of these sites are shut down or there are better avenues to take now. Obviously though it's from 7 years ago. Just shouting into the void here as a fan but I thought if you're bored or don't have any ideas that I, personally, would love to know how you feel now, especially since you made the video about voicing in She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man.

CDAWG: "NEVER use headset microphones, you will not get roles with them."
Also CDAWG: **Gets multiple roles with headset mics.**

I freakin' hate puberty. Making my voice change after I get a certain character voice on point. CURSES.

Speaking of reading the whole script, I remember back when we did Performing Arts at our school, I was so nervous about the fact that I might forget my lines that I kept reading through the entire script constantly until the day if the play and I actually knew *everyone's* lines by heart- xD

I've never thought about voice acting but after watching this it seems really interesting. I'm still trying to find a hobby I like so why not try this out for a while? :D

He got to software and I'm thinking "damn... how much am I going to be spending?" Then he says "Just download audacity" and I was like "YES, I'm one step ahead of you!" since I've had audacity for over a year. I felt so happy.

Honestly I'm glad this video exists, most videos for "how to start voice acting" felt discouraging where all I wanted to know is where I can do some auditions somewhere as I do not live near anywhere that's big at the moment. I know this video is about 5 years old but it still ages well to this day for me (well except people use Discord instead of Skype nowadays).

I secretly wish that I was from a place like Europe or America so I could have a clear accent for voice acting (or normal acting), Australian accents just sound messy, and half the time, whenever Australians visit other countries, we either sound a little british or drunk. Again, a great video 😝 Great advice.

For the last two years I've been talking about wanting to go into voice acting as a carrer. Even my theater director said it would be a good path for me. I just never knew how to get started. This video is so helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time to make it.

It really warms my heart when you suggested the Samson C01U as the beginner mic first, I never saw this video nor did I look for tutorials when I started out & when I bought the Samson I was very impressed with the quality & how friendly the price of it was.

I remember the good old days (back in 2014) when I was tarting out & I had no clue so my audio was terrible lol but you do improve with daily practice rather quickly. I love this video because you emphasize more on creating the enjoyment than trying so hard to make it super professional which is good because so many tutorials & guides now emphasize too much on being 'professional' & not enough on the 'enjoyment' of it all.

Love your work & great video.

Does it matter if English is your native language or not? It may sound a little weird, but I'd prefer voicing English roles even though I'm not from an English speaking country. For some reason it's easier for me to express emotions when speaking in English. I don't think my accent is very noticeable, but I'm not sure if I should try it out or if it's a no-go.

Can someone please give this man some potatoes? Am I right?! Ha!...Heh...eh. It sounded funnier in my head and then I read it aloud. I'm not even going to delete this.
