MARVEL DC CROSSOVER FILM MIGHT HAPPEN SAYS JAMES GUNN!

A Marvel vs DC crossover film could actually happen in the future. James Gunn was recently named co CEO of DC Studios and in an interview has revealed that he actually pitched a Marvel vs DC film idea to both the heads of Marvel and DC, and now he is the head of DC studios so the possibility of the crossover has become very real! James Gunn said that both Marvels Kevin Feige, and the leadership at the old Warner Bros were for the idea and open to it! However, it is now in James Gunn's hand at DC studios!

If this truly happens words wouldn't be able to describe how excited I'd be. I've been wanting this since I was a kid just watching all their cartoons but I didn't think it'd ever happen.

I can definitely see James Gunn writing AND directing Marvel VS DC (considering he’s done Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and DC’s The Suicide Squad). A project like this for the big screen would be absolutely bonkers to witness. I can just imagine how chaotic the theater would be, packed with big and loyal DC fans and big and loyal Marvel fans. 🤯🤯

I own the four issues of marvel versus DC / DC versus marvel for this reason and while that comic book series ended in a bit of an arbitrary voting, the fans choose type of method, words can't possibly overstate how absolutely stoked I am that this is even within the realm of possibility.

Imagine in the end credit scene for secret wars, it cuts to a city where a mugging or some other crime is happening and you think it's new york but as a voice speaks the camera turns to reveal red boots with a blue suit and pans up to Henry Cavills superman. Superman will return fade to black

Imagine after The Multiverse Saga we get The Omniverse Saga which is part of the MCU and DCU which features two movies at the end: the first being a versus movie between the two but then turns into a teamup which ends on a cliffhanger, and the second being a full teamup movie. If this does ever happen, I hope DCU has some time for it to develop and doesn't rush itself, and we get the OG 6 Avengers back just for these 2 movies after Secret Wars. Heck, they could bring back EVERYONE from the dead and we can get variants of each character in each multiverse. If only there were no Disney or Warner Bros. involved.
