Literally bought my first bass guitar yesterday and before I bought it, I was looking up whether 5 string was better to learn on than 4 string. A lot of people said starting from 5 string was better because of the extra range but also that it was easier to learn from 5 string and move down to 4 string than vice versa.

Clearly I should have started my journey with the 69 string. My range would have been optimal and if I can learn 69 string, I can easily move down anything else.
