When I started dating my now husband my sons felt this way. I had been alone for 14 years before dating my husband. Now 11 years into our relationship and 8 years into our marriage my sons talk to my husband more than me! My sons have built their own relationships with him and his children and I love it!

Unfortunately, Padeon is very similar to Kody in personality. Ultimately, it isn't his decision. Being the only son I am sure he is being protective.

He needs a little maturity… his mum needs someone special we all do and a son is a totally different relationship. I think he should have more faith in his mum . I was engaged 8 months after meeting my husband of 16 years and its the best decision of my life

If Paedon will not accept David, he will kind of exclude himself. Christine doesn't need his approval. David is here to stay. He should be happy instead and give his mom support. There's no point in not doing that. UNLESS David is truly awful. But the other children seems to believe he's ok. Paedon probably only means well, but he's a bit difficult now. When you know you know.

Paedon is 25. A human being’s brain isn’t fully developed until they are 25. He has very little life experience. Christine is a very good Mom. She is going to let Paedon voice his opinions. She is going to continue to love him. She is also going to go ahead and do what makes her happy because she KNOWS how quickly life moves. She has a lot of experience. And she knows that she has survived a messy, hurtful, very public break-up where she was forced to hear horrible things that completely re-write almost her whole adult life. She survived the father of her children telling her he never loved her, only married her for the prestige her family name could bring him, found her repulsive, blamed only her for the break-up, and neglected their biological children so thoroughly that he refused to accompany their daughter for a necessary scary surgery to correct a defect that caused that child extreme pain. And he did all of that and more on a popular reality tv show. If Christine is strong enough to survive that then she can survive another break-up if the relationship with David falls apart. BTW…David seems like a fairly easy going guy. Great sense of humor. His kids and grandkids all seem to love him. If Christine stays with him, marries him, and it lasts then I’m sure David will welcome Paedon with open arms if Paedon changes his mind about David.

Boys always have a harder time than girls. My mom met someone after years of being single and he did not like it. It took a long time to see that she was happy and he accepted it.

He is still young and doesn't understand what his mom has gone through, and that her "marriage" to Kody has been long over. Trust me when a women leaves a relationship she didnt leave the day she packed up her stuff she left long long before that ie Christine has been done with Kodys mess. I know this is his mom but he really needs to mind his business.

I think Paedon has issues with knowing where to voice opinion and dictate how his mom should live her best life. I never got to choose who my parents married after their divorce and in one case I really struggled but I never told anyone what to do because at the end of the day, seeing your parents happy with someone new is difficult but seeing them alone and unhappy just to please one of their kids is ridiculous. Christine has been emotionally alone far longer than Paedon can comprehend.I hope he never has to live in a loveless relationship where he’s trying to hold on and feeling rejected. I’m happy to see Christine glow and David has a great sense of humor!
