Brick Mortar Repair - Repointing Single Corner Brick

Thinking of replacing the brick mortar-grout yourself? I reset one corner brick using Cement All (it's what I had on hand but better yet, try using Mortar Mix) from "Rapid Set" that can be purchased at Home Depot. This is a DIY project, I am not a professional. I also should have been using the proper eye and skin safety equipment when working with the cleanser solution.

Can you use angle grinder to clean the old cement stuck on the brick?

My external brick wall has a damp and its a small area and algae. What do you suggest ?? how can I fix it.

I'm no professional but that mortar mix looked too soupy. Secondly, I'm sure you had cement left over, why didn't you point the other bricks to make them all match. Just my two pennies worth but you didn't need to start cleaning the bricks with vinegar and stuff. You really made a mountain out of a molehill.
