This is a tough one. I shoot Weddings with 2 Canon EOS Rs 120fps is really never in my thought process while working. I have speed boosters on both so the crop is not really a factor. Never lost footage, cards normally work fine, usually corruption comes for pulling cards in and out, but I usb-c from Camera direct to laptop with no issues.

But for the price, color science, workflow…. This is one of those Camera that people really just need to shoot with a lot to understand this is a easy buy.

I will probably have the EOS R in my bag as a quick hybrid that I can work around.

Some good and valid points there Samuel but I bought the Eos R used for £1000 and I don't use it for video much. The picture quality though is outstanding
If I want to do video I use my Panasonic and Sony bridge cameras.

Solid points that I totally agree with - That said I just bought one refurbished from CanonUSA - why? It was cheap ($1300) and it served me to get my feet wet in mirrorless. I totally get that 4k is the industry standard now, but God help me I still shoot in HD with a C100 M2 and this camera serves my need for a good gimbal cam and B cam to my C100. I've been pleased with the AF and image quality so far. No regrets.

Can someone help me? The research is almost going to blow my mind. I only need a camera for photography and the Eos R was my choice. But why do I always see bad reviews? Is the problem only in the video part or is there a downside in the photo?

I’m not much on video, more photography. The extra photography features and the option for better video is why I bought the R6. It is freaking amazing. Just got it, but so far loving it.

For me is the price and come with FULLFRAME sensor. R5 T6 can't afford is like buy 2 eor R also just take pictures less take video ..

basically its more of a photography camera that can do some video. canon needs to stop crippling their cameras. theres really no bang for buck videography canon camera under 2000usd. the r6 is their only lowest priced good videography camera.

It's quite simple, don't buy this camera if you are planning to use it for film... it's out now for a couple of years, so if you buy it, like i did, you will most of the time use it for photography, it's a awesome photocamera, with some video capabilities, so buyers, do your homework before you choose a camera... ;-)
