If it's a contest of pure swordsmanship skills with equal physical stats, it's easily Zoro.
Trunks was pretty good with the sword, but he is more of a "man with a sword" rather than actual swordsmanship skills.

If there was a competition where the judges could track and evaluate each fighter's swordsmanship, Zoro would win. However, if Zoro & Trunks had a sword fight and Trunks must use a sword to strike, then Trunks wins because his strength, speed, and instinct as a fighter more than makes up for Zoro's swordsmanship eclipsing his own.

Then again...if Zoro started talking Trunks may hear Piccolo or his father and then he would get confused/daddy issues and that could be all Zoro needs to win.

I feel like with how fast Trunks is, using a sword probably wouldn't be too much of a fight. Unless you make them regular.humans, I think Zoro loses, but he does have more skill with the sword.
