Iceberg lettuce is the most used lettuce in Mexico lol and I love it. It's my favorite type of lettuce because it feels so refreshing and watery.

Lots of good points John... although I actually quite like iceberg lettuce and as you say it stores well in the crisper; also it's not as soggy when made in a sandwich for school lunches! However, I find our loose leaf lettuce (like you are growing in the background) do store well in the crisper as well sometimes our cut lettuce lasts weeks so in general I certainly agree all lettuce is awesome :)

I love iceberg lettuce! I found 1 head of homegrown organic iceberg lettuce at the farmers market one time. It was huge. It was expensive. And it was totally worth it. It was the most delicious lettuce I've ever had. I need that in my life! ☺

I have a couple of reasons to try it: 1. I love the stuff; crispier and sweeter than most other stuff, and plenty of roughage. 2. I've tried Romaine and some leaf variety with "butter" in its name with less-than-stellar results. Gotta try the iceberg next year.

Hi John please consider extending the t-shirt sale for two more days or until June 1st. Just a big fan with a small pay check that definitely wants to contribute to your dream when the moola comes in.

Actually iceberg has more vitamin e and omega 3 as compared to other lettuce ... and no omega 6 ... I was recently low on HDL and the doc wants me on fish oil which I won’t take due to supplements are reported to be rancid ... omega 3 and vitamin e are two things I show as low in when I run my raw vegan diet through chronometer ... I usually just put a cup or so in my salads for palatability, then I mix some combo of spinach, red leaf, arugula, cilantro etc... I plan to start having 3-4 cups a day and more other leafies too... while I have green salad daily, I have been wanting to eat larger amounts ... consuming iceberg will help me for sure

I'm trying some different types of greens like you suggested! I even purchased two tree collard cuttings and they are growing nicely! Can't wait to have some greens even in the Vegas summer heat!

It's too cold here for growing year round, but we just bought a 4' grow light and are setting up the worm room as a grow room as well. We're getting ahead on it, little by little. Thanks for all of your videos and for the inspiration.

i love lose leaf lettuce, i grow it as early as i can get it in the ground and also grow it indoors in the winter in my wood seller which barely stays above freezing temperature with cfls and still get great yields! about 5 to 6 harvests before they start to taste really strong but have yet to see them bolt in the cold temps =) unlike summer.. lol

I'm growing iceberg lettuce in an aerogarden and it's fine. Due to limited space, I harvest the outer leaves often so the inner leaves can continue growing. I like the crunchiness of iceberg and I mix it in a salad with the darker greens.

We grow iceberg lettuce as a staple on our market garden and it's our thing! We love iceberg and so does our customers. To each their own though

I live in the Southern California desert and my favorite lettuce is Rouge Grenoblaise, it is the first to come up in the Fall and the last to bolt in April. It is open, leafy and delicious.

I am digging that cap! :)

Can also enjoy what nature grows on its own. I am eagerly waiting and watching a large cactus on the side of my neighbors driveway. They have said I can have all the cactus fruits when they are ripe... There are at least 200 unripe fruits on it currently if not more. It is a massive grouping of cactus plants. I will be in juice heaven.
