Hello Aluxers! What do you think you need to do to travel abroad?

I left NYC/ US during COVID 2020. Jobless no experience, no monetizable skills, and camera shyness. With hard work, and Al lot prayer, 2 years later, 3 countries later. Learning multiple skill sets . I am NOW starting to get paid for the skills that I have started learning in 2020. I never thought I would one day qualify to even work remotely, cause the jobs that I did in the US couldn’t be done online. But God is good . I am a digital nomad, I work to live, and I no longer live to work. It is possible.

I'm a E.U. digital nomad and I stay in the E.U. Healthcare & transportation are good and affordable, not shortage of cultural and geographical diversity...whether in sunny Greece (been there last year) or the majestic Alps or the forests of Finland, the charming Christmas markets of Germany...I've got it all here.
Also, what Alux says about hard work... it's all true. Being a DN isn't all fun and games. You teach your native language, you write, you graphic design, you market online...doesn't matter, there's always something you have to edit or update or you have clients from other timezones...
Staying emotionally healthy is of the utmost importance. I always prefer small town life. You can create connections with the locals and sooner or later your old lady neighbour will be bringing you delicious homecooked food because she's worried you're not eating properly...

I don’t get paid much but I do have a good job I run it like it’s my own business. I work remote and I can work anywhere and I can pay all my bills. I wish the pay doubled but the benefits are worth it. I don’t care to drive 3 hour round trips every day just to waste time in traffic, gassing up all the time and ware and tear on my cars.

It's about time a video was made on Digital Nomadism! I've been watching youtube videos on being a Digital Nomad since 2017, and Corona was like a fast-track for it all, bringing many people into online work, once you work from home you can work from Rome. Back in 2017 it was the Nomad Summit in Chiang Mai Thailand that was the it event to go to, now there are popular destinations all over and lots of Digital Nomad Visas and many ways to be a Digital Nomad.
