SpaceX Artificial Gravity Starship Just Became Reality!
Despite the many, many problems we face in the world today, it is still an exciting time to be alive! As we speak, mission planners and engineers are developing the concepts that will soon take astronauts on voyages beyond Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for the first time in almost fifty years. In addition to returning to the Moon, we are also looking further afield to Mars and other distant places in the Solar System.

Huge thanks to all these amazing SpaceX Artists. Please follow them and support them through Payoneer and Twitter.

Way easier to use the hooks that lift Starship in a highbay and then rope two StarShips nose-to-nose with great distance between them once out in deep space.

That way you only need TWO StarShips, and then use thrusters and whatnot to keep tension over the very, very long rope or cable between them. And then slowly and carefully get it rotating

If you send 2 starships in the same time, 1 tanker and 1 passengership Connect them with 1 wire and set them in rotation, done ! There is already fastenings on top of startships, for lifting the starships on earth.
You have your gravitation ( actually not my idea, its Werner von Braun).
Have a small communication-sattelite 100 meter away from the rotating ships with a parabola fixed at earth for communications, and small Wifi-communication with the rotating spaceships.

The rotating ships dont need to have big solarpanels like wings, they can be mounted directly to the ships body, the ships can be rotating so that only one side is directet at the sun the whole time, the other side will have coolers for cooling of excess heat.

Build a space station to act as a rotational space station in orbit docking with a starship, To go acting as the centrifugal part taking it to be a space station in mars obit to be built onto later. and engineer the antenna to rotate in an opposite direction staying in the proper alignment, for the trip back

I think the concept described is excellent but I think 3 Starliners and the 3 one b the hub. Communication could b mounted on it and really the solar panels too, mounted on the further end with comms on the near end also we can use fuel cells and some new battery tech Ellon knows about batteries all to well. No problem !

Why don't we just use magnets and a magnet suit to create artificial gravity?

More than one ship the communication ship would not spin. The passenger ship would be like the one described. They possibly could use some form of wireless transfer of energy to get power from solar panel to rotating section. Or the spinning part would be like a huge armature and produce it's own power. Then the passenger ship would become a space station once getting to Mars. Really it would be smarter to build a giant driving space station. We might just have to start out doing it the hard way, and literally crawl before we walk.

The best option will be continuos propulsion. But we haven't this kind of engines yet.

wouldn't just a cable between 2 starships work? it would need a hose to join ships for sufficient ballast to even the loads but a cable with a swivel with a reel to adjust to any radii.

Just have them wear boots or shoes with magnets on the bottom and make the floors and other walkways metal so they don't float around

This is like the most basic idea that Elon Musk is probably at least the billionth person to think of this.

Placing the communications antenna at the central point of the Connecting trust what lesson the degree of movement. Thereby allowing constant communication.

I want to see a test of this idea in orbit kinda before they even head to land on the moon

why not use Crewdragon instead of Artemis it is a proven capsule?

That is not crazy we wanna be interplantatory we have to have artificial gravity

What is the gravity load of Mars compared to Earth? Or the moon compared to Earth?
Also what is the solar exposure (heat and radiation) on the human body compared to being on Earth (with its atmosphere, cloud cover, and nightly rotation away from the sun)?
It sounds like Mars is a bridge too far for humans at this time.
Better ro perfect a 'spaceplane' with a hybrid propulsion system that can lift off as a jet (e.g. 747 or U-2s), and once at its highest altitude about 60, 000 to 70, 000 feet, have its jets slowed down and its reuseable booster rockets (that are attached to its side) ignited to propel the craft to any area on earth. Then have the booster rocket propulsion reduced and the jets restarted (or stepped up) for the jet-powered glide down for an airfield landing.
This could usher in spaceplane-flights of minutes instead of numerous hours of dreary intercontinental jet travel. Let's achieve that on Earth before Mars.

Crazy.. Insane.. Impossible.. these are attitudes and concepts used as excuses by people with no vision. Those who do not allow these things to hold them back are the creators of our future and survival. In short...
Lead...Follow..or get out of the way.

Let Ilon hack the solution. He is master coder. I just want my SpaceX condom on my trip to Mars

Good morning
Better send intelligent robots for the next 50 years and learn more about the space environment prior to sending humans
