My sister is obviously the favorite, I have a jacket I wear daily that lasted longer and her mac book air. Once I turn 18, im going to get a full time job and moving out. Its not like they are going to care.

My little brother is the favorite he's the perfect little angel sent from heaven and I'm little brat some from hell. I am at my parents over and over and over how they play favoritism between the two of us and they denied it. They do not listen they nor everything I have to say about it.

Even my cousins and aunts prefer my brother than me. Now that I usually have left organ aches that happen like 4 times a week, they still don't care about what I feel and they kept telling me it's just my retarded mind which is making it :')

Sibling favoritism is a very common thing when we're talking about dysfunctional/narcisistic families. The favorite child is called "the golden child" and the neglected one is called "scapegoat".

My older brother is the favorite, he’s 14. My parents spoil him soooo much, he has a PS4, Samsung, Touch Screen Computer, and many games that cost 60 bucks each. I have an iPod. Still thankful though.

My parents absolutely LOVE the little Satan known as my sister,
She has straight A's, Knows how to cook, AND is just treated better overall, gets away with whatever she can physically do...
Me: I try my hardest to make good grades (which I do) and I'm seen as a disabled idiot, They never even tried to teach me how to cook, and I'm treated like crap, and my sister thinks it's ok to beat me up, but when I do defend myself, I'm suddenly the one who will go to jail...
(EDIT) I made this comment two years ago... Now I'm 17, and thankfully things have improved. My sister became a recluse, and doesn't bother me anymore, and my mom and Dad are finally treating me like a son... That's because I had a serious talk with them, and the main reason was because they thought I would never get anywhere in life because of the things I was interested in, and the things I wanted to do with my life was too different from the options they had as kids. After explaining my whole life plan, and showing them that I know what I'm doing and not incompetent, they actually do really great things for me. And I just hope that no one else had to feel the Isolation I did all those years in middle school... The feeling of not being able to turn to anyone for guidance or help. But just know you're never alone. Thank you for your support, but now life is going great.

I was worried my mom favored my sister, so I brought it up, and she got very very mad and nasty about it. When my sister said the same thing about me my mom was very sweet and understanding towards her... This has happened multiple times...

My brother's the favorite along with my sister. I'm left out. My dad sees my siblings as a perfect bunch. But me, nope. Sometimes I feel as if I should disappear. I've always felt like a burden to my father since I was young. And there was some moments where it showed how much he cared about them, but not so much for me.

When I was little, me and my brother played basketball. Our dad came to all of his and cheered him on. He even coached him. But he only came to one game and that was it. And he didn't do nothing, but looked bored and depressed. My dad was always more interested in my brother's basketball journey. But not mine.

I'm going to study really hard for the rest of my school years to have a better future. I will try to have a better attitude towards my family cuz I am really impatient and I sound really angry most of the time even when I'm not. Parents will always deny and say there’s no favorite lol. Growing up my older brother got everything and when I asked for something “wait till next week” and it’ll never come. Even now he’s about 22 years old and they’ve bought him 3 cars. When I asked for a car “get a job.” At the same time I’m grateful because I am who I am today thanks to the way I was treated. I’m only 20 and already have my own business. Never in my life will I ask anyone for anything. If I want something I’ll work for it.

Whenever I talk to them about this topic, they'll just deny it and scold me for "making up" those things in my mind.

My older Brother is the Favorite😟😞. He gets away with every thing and If I did one little petty mistake my mom would scream at me. It's only my mom my dad buts out of everything. I remember one time my brother had a little bit of a sore throat and my mom took him to the doctor and then when I have symptoms of a sinus infection my mom is like "Just Suck It Up either take the medicine I give your or continue coughing in your room." Plus that Medicine she gave me just makes me worse. Also I get 100x better grades than my brother and my mom yells at me for getting a 96 in Italian Class and not my brother for getting a 67 in Pre-Calculus. She has emotional abused me for so long. I've confronted on her about that many times but she thinks that I'm being retarded and her and my brother don't care one bit. So yeah I'm not the favorite and can't wait to move out. I've gotten the love and support from my best friends. They've been there for me all these years and continue to be there for me. I will continue to be there for them 24/7. My friends have encouraged me to keep going in life and you should too. Just remember if you don't think you're the favorite from your parents or guardians. You are a favorite to someone. People in your life love and care about you. People will support you because you are a special loving person. No one should bring you down. Get back up and continue fighting. You are Loved By So Many❤
