Fun fact: Erasing a gray background on ibispaint is easier than erasing a white one

If the background is still showing on the edges, but you don't want to take out any more of the outline, you could put the layer on alpha lock and use the fill tool with 2-3 px expansion outside the object with the color of the outline! If there are multiple colors on the edges, you can use the brush tool with the outline color to trace it and do touch ups
This will fix the white edges that may still be left even after clearing the selection.

Tbh, I just use the eraser of the the magic wand area multiple times and it does it well and leaves no crust, im about to go to alight motion to try out ur tricks now, great content!!

GIRL YOU’RE A LIFE SAVER. i was trying to erase the background in ibis paint because it wouldn’t erase properly in alight motion and i was having trouble with one of the hands. when i tried removing the blue screen, it sucked so bad. there was a lot of blue screen still left. i tried your trick and it worked not perfectly, but extremely well. thank you!!

I just use "Eraser" you can choose how smooth you want it to look after you earse the backround. You can still open it even if you don't enough storage.
