'On parade' mission guide! - GTA Online guides

In this video i go over the mission "On parade" which is the third mission in the series of missions found in the San Andreas mercenaries DLC content update in Grand theft auto Online.

Many people find this mission very hard/difficult and the mission has become rather notorious for its alleged difficulty!

You have no idea how much pain and frustration that mission caused me when attempting it solo.

Honestly the only reason this was hard is because the avengers were somehow hitting me. As for the one that spins around, he'd just come up my flank when I was chipping away at his buddy. Stormtroopers or not, if the game decides you're getting hit, you're getting hit. It's just luck

I find it really ironic that these 2 avengers can tank that much missiles and explosive canons, but a mission later we see our avenger (which we probably spent another million on upgrades) get taken out easily by 1 airstrike from a lazer.

Go to the windmill farm. The mission is incredibly easy when you use the environment to your advantage. Lead the Avenger to the windmill farm on the east side of the map, go into VTOL mode, dodge the missiles, and hover as low as you can. From there, the Avenger will get too low to fly back up, or it will get destroyed by the windmills. If the former happens, use your explosive cannon to shoot it.

Well you got lucky. I did this solo too, and whenever i went into VTOL, the gunner got aimbot and obliterated me. This kept happening, sometimes even just sniping me while i'm strafing

So i ended up going to the city and playing sneaky buggers with maze bank to use as cover

So you just got lucky. Those avenger cannons are ridiculously OP there.

Took me like six attempts on hard, the avenger gunners in my game were obviously ex faze clan, they hit me going at full speed twice

I found the VTOL mode seems to break the enemies, so I used that to my advantage.

I was literally having the avenger shoot me out of the sky while I was maneuvering or turning my jet. Me and my friend tried for 2 hours. The rijun needs better armor for this mission because we was literally getting one shotted by this. Not only that but respawning makes you forfeit the mission and die for whatever reason

I actually had a hard time with their cannons. They weren't stormtroopers in my case.
So at the 3rd try I decided to take the fight with them to LS. To my surprise, both Avengers crashed while coming after me.

When I soloed this mission there was only one avenger, but it fired homing missiles that killed me in one hit. Tried using hover and guns, but that made me a sitting duck and it blew me out of the sky. It took about 50 direct hits with missiles for me to bring that monster down, which was painfully tedious and made the new jet seem incredibly weak. I figured it might be a bug, like maybe the enemy avenger had somehow been buffed by the armor upgrades I'd bought for my own avenger.

I literally got an Avenger to crash and die instantly even though it had a lot of health left. Also, I felt the recover stuff from the water one was harder (playing solo)

I'll be honest, I liked the mission. I also did it solo on hard mode, and only died twice, both time to a kamikaze ai pilot. Its not too bad you play it smart and react quick. I'd say if your struggling, remember that you are in a jet in the air, use the sky to your advantage.

This probably reminds me of A-9 License in GT7, while using the countersteering assist where many people didn't realize it was active

Fly to the wind farm, go to hover mode, the AI will not swerve for the windmills, and will help you out by repeatedly crashing into them.

One trick i discovered on hard mode solo is try lure both the avengers to LS, then use the mazebank, IAA, FIB and surroundings... the AI of those avengers are stupid enough they'll stuck to one of those buildings many times and became easy target..

Yeah I was trying to use the missiles on the avenger whilst also in normal flight mode and basically ended up going round and round in circles for like an hour and gradually wearing it down over time

Difficulty:Easy
Players:Solo

Follow exactly what they tell you to do (obviously go into stealth through the canyon they literally tell you to do it) be done in 10mins
