Kurt doesn’t get mentioned enough as one of the greatest of all time . I grew up during that era between Attitude and Ruthless Aggression and realize now I didn’t appreciate his work enough until later looking back on it.

Bret Hart famously said in his Autobiography that there are 3 attributes that make a great pro wrestler… 1. Their look 2. Their in-ring skills and 3. Their mic skills. You rank them on a scale of 1 - 10. Kurt Angle had 10 in all categories and then some. The GOAT!

He was so good so fast. And making him a heel right off the bat despite being an Olympic gold medalist was such a stroke of genius. When the game WWF No Mercy came out, everybody was either playing as Kurt and making him a champion, or playing against Kurt and giving him the Stunner, Rock Bottom, or Last Ride.

It's incredible to me that he was basically thrown to the wolves and wound up being so amazing, so fast. I truly never thought he cut a bad promo, even in the beginning.

There's guys that have been in the business for twenty years and still weren't half as good as Angle's early promos.
