Will There Be A Battle Between Galactus And The Celestials In The MCU?

“Eternals” is going to be a major film in phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Set for a November 6th 2020 release date, the film will dive into the history of the MCU by featuring the god-like creatures that helped create it. These creatures are known as the Celestials and we’ve seen them featured in the MCU before in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. While the Celestials are known to be so strong that they can create and destroy planets, there is another major cosmic entity that can take on a Celestial in battle. Galactus is an immortal entity that devours entire planets. While he was featured in Fox’s “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer,” he has yet to make his official MCU debut. But with his incredible powers and his role as a universal balance, we’re predicting that he’s going to make his official appearance very soon, and “Eternals” will likely lay the groundwork for the role he is set to play. But is Galactus another Thanos? Is he going to be a hero or a villain? And will he be able to take on the Celestials? Check out our video to find out everything you need to know about what a battle between some of the most powerful cosmic beings in the MCU might look like.

Eternals aren't human celestial "hybrids". They are genetically altered humans.

God please don’t make him a giant cloud or sky beam.

What's funny is the celestial could have mowed down the entire civilization even without the power Stone just as easy at least in the comics MCU has shown to be quite different

Please God, make *Liam Neeson* as Galactus. His voice would be phenomenal..

The Celestials DIDNT banish the First Firmament, he fled and hide because the battle between the Celestials and Aspirants tore him apart. As for Galactus, you were literally all over the place. A lot of what you said occurred to “other” Galactus’s, from other realities and universes. I agree that all Galactus have the same power potential, unlimited, but they weren’t all from the 616 reality.

Hulk: You won't like me when I'm angry... Galactus: Well...you won't like me when I'm hungry.

Eternals were genetically altered humans. They're not part eternals part humans. Galactus was stronger than the lower level celestials in comics but is weaker than the higher tier celestials like exitar. Plus galactus and thanos aren't alike at all. Thanos does what he does because he thinks it's right and because he wishes only to please lady death whereas galactus knows what his doing is wrong but knows that he has no choice because his a vital aspect of the universe and that he has to stay alive in order for the universe to survive which is why his forced to devour world's.

Whenever Galactus goes to an advanced alien world it's population flees into space so they can get as far away from him as they can.
I remember in the comics when Galactus destroyed the Skrull homeworld he was so hungry he didn't even bother to use his energy siphoning equipment he just sank into the core of the world and absorbed all of it's energies until it exploded and he just floated on his back in space fully nourished and his starship came and scooped him up.

I wish Galactus gets an appearance in some of the next marvel movies it’s my favorite villain. I hate what they did to him on the horrible fantastic four movie. I just ordered the 32-inch Galactus figure and I can’t wait to get it.

Ego is an elder of the universe, not a celestial!! The movie is incorrect in this..

My prediction: Galactus is introduced as a Celestial. Basically any Cosmic level being that is also really large will be a Celestial, just because it makes it a lot easier for non comic book fans of the MCU to keep track of all of the different groups.

“Celestials are even bigger than planets.”
Galactus: Hmmm.. *Eats Celestials* I...I’m not hungry anymore!”

Wait until they introduce Franklin Richards. The guy who literally made Galactus his herald.

Galactus was taken down by the Mad Celestials and was brought back by Franklin Richards in Hickman's run of the Fantastic Four so Galactus can absolutely get his ass kicked by the Celestials. Galactus did end up killing one Celestial but he couldn't handle the other three after they merged with each other. The long and the short of it is, Galactus can kick ass but he can get his ass kicked as well, just depends on the story being told. Can't wait to see how it all plays out!

I mostly liked Rise of the Silver Surfer. I wish Fox had shown Galactus as a physical being instead of a cloud.

You may wonder, why doesn't the One Above All(God) stop the Celestials and other Cosmic power bad guys in the MCU. Same as the real world, free will and it would make the movies about 30 minutes or less.

If they make Galactus a celestial it's gonna be very disappointing.

Galactus is a cosmic being alongside with Eternity, Death, & Infinity. Technically, Eternity created Galactus as Entropy to balance the Universe.
