Backpack = If you're walking to the gym

Duffle/Bag= if you're driving to the gym.

It's harder to find things in a back pack as your view is obscured. A Holdall back pack has a bigger opening therefore easier to see and find your stuff.

More of your arm goes in a backpack and when you do this you tend have your head tilted not to be looking on the inside as to not tip the bag over. You don't have this issue with a Holdall bag.

You should have gone to the camping section. They have dry bags you can stuff your dirty clothes in that way it’s not stinking the rest of the bag. I found the seat to summit bags are the best. Edit: or grocery bags almost work.
