Veterinarian here. So a few things regarding the first story:

1) Yes, sheath cleaning is good practice for a healthy horse, especially castrated horses.

2) You do not need to jerk off a horse to clean the sheathe. You just need to extrude the penis. Jerking it off is certainly one way to do this, but it isn't the only way.

3) Yes, "massaging the sheath" is very much the same as jerking off the horse. The "sheath" is really just the equivalent of human foreskin. Infact, a technical term for both the sheath and foreskin is the "prepuce". No one is going to say that massaging a human's foreskin isn't jerking them off.

4) The dirt that accumulates in make horses is actually smegma. That's something that uncircumcised men should be familiar with. It's the same thing.

Bonus) Yes, we do go shoulder deep in cow's rectums. It is usually done for pregnancy diagnosis, calf aging and to determine if a cow is ready to be bred (usually by artificial insemination). We also do it on bulls for fertility checks. I've done rectal checks multiple times myself. In the last story OP's wife was not just stupid, she was mean. This old man helped them countless times. He gave them multiple breaks when he never had to. If I was OP I would take his wife's behavior as the red flags they are and look into divorce. Not only did she blow up on this saintly old man but she gets upset at OP and expects him to fix her mistakes and refuses to explain her behavior. I would not want to have children with someone like that.

Story 3: My jaw dropped at this guy's wife's tirade. Speechless. This woman isn't red flags, she's a red neon sign at this point. She 100% _needs_ to _genuinely_ apologize to G _and_ she needs to accept that the rent is probably _still_ going to be market rate. This is 100% a situation of FAFO aka "Actions have consequences."

Last story: I bet if OP’s wife hadn’t broken Gary’s heart, Gary would’ve eventually given them the house (whether he just eventually says in a few years “I see you and your child as my family so please accept the house, fully paid, as a gift” or Gary putting it in his Will that the house is theirs after he died). The worst part is knowing that Gary is so heart broken that he will probably never be this kind and generous to anyone ever again. so if OP and his wife do move out and the next tenant won’t get the kind and warm grandfatherly Gary, they will get a run of the mill, cold and emotionless, pay rent on time or be evicted no exceptions you’re not taking advantage of me but I’ll take advantage of you landlord

Story 3: Garry is 100% in his right to be pissed, and this is HER FAULT. She ruined EVERITHING; honestly, that's her mask sliped, and now her true self has been revealed.

Edit; I never get how or why some people see help as "people looking down on me." I get hormones but that doesn't excuse that

Can we appreciate how Gary handled the situation.

He didn't blow up, he didn't try to get revenge or kick them out, he just removed himself emotionnaly from the situation to prevent himself further pain.
He just calmly stated the facts about the change of situation and decided to be a normal landlord, no more no less.

Last story: If I was OP I wouldn’t let this go anytime soon. No one reacts like that to such a nice person for no reason, and I don’t know if someone said something or she’s always felt that way. But she needs to tell OP what was going on in her head to do all that to such a nice man that has been nothing but good to them.
