My dad told me that when he was in his 20s (he's 55 now) there was no need for any "game". All you had to do as a guy was show interest in the girl. I work at a gym and I have coworkers who say things like "I havent seen a good looking dude in weeks". Really? You work in a gym and you really haven't seen a guy you think is good looking in weeks? That's what their standards are like though - and these are very average looking girls saying this. They live in a fantasy world.

Male here -- no freaking clue how many times I've swiped.. I have swiped right on 80-90% of women across.. Tinder, Bumble, Coffee Meets Bagel, Happn, OkCupid, POF, Hily DAILY.. To the point where I've swiped the entire 100 mi radius around me down to nothing tens of times. It literally said that the stack of people near you is EMPTY on every single app. I think I've matched maybe 100-150 times across ALL of these apps over 10 YEARS. I've only ever gotten 1 date which resulted in immediate ghosting. I'm done with these apps. Guess if I don't happen across someone in person at some point then it's never going to happen.

I knew a woman once that I started talking to on something like Plenty of Fish or some other dating site. She was cute for her age and size...she was 35, stood 5' 3", and was maybe 160-165 pounds, but it looked good on her. At the time I was I think 32, 6' and maybe pushing 210...just an average guy. We talked for a while, but she never wanted to commit to meeting. Then one day I asked why she never wanted to go out but still kept talking to me....she finally said the kind of guy she was looking for.

Body-builder/WWF type of physique

You know....she wanted the "I am fucking a GOD" fantasy. When I asked why she matched with me (because she initiated everything) if I was none of those things, she said she was being "nice" to me. Oh...ok. So I then asked how many guys she had gone out with that met her "requirements" in the last few years. She said "none." At which point I told her she wouldn't get a guy like that because she wouldn't meet THEIR physical appearance standards either. They wanted a woman that was likely at least 5' 6", maybe 120 pounds at the most, and looked like the could walk off the pages of Playboy, Victoria's Secret, or win a Miss America pageant.

We stopped talking at that point for some unknown reason. lol
