I just used the middle cardboard cylinder from the toilet paper rolls, kitchen rolls and black tape to stick them on the back of my black IKEA table and the table legs.

i recommend a soft black paint for the spots where shipping damage occurred on the finish. I used some black guitar shielding paint on spots like that on a very similarly colored dresser. My family and I think it looks much better now

I got a desk for my wife that’s exactly the same as yours (just without the shelf). It is very sturdy and the two cross bars in the corner make for a great foot rest. It was a lightening deal on amazon last year for $60.
