The 15 is in ios 18.1 (seen in geekbench) while 16 is in 18.0 that's not a fair comparison as ios18.1 is in beta still while ios 18 is stable

Something is strange with the iPhone 15 pro Max. The score in Geekbench is lower than usual. Mine gets 7400 and something, but I'm still on iOS 17.4.1.

Oh no! The 16 pro max is super fast in opening an app. Infact it’s thousandth of a second faster than the 15 pro max so i need to upgrade mine to 16 pro max. 😂
I don’t understand these type of speed comparison. Why would you need your phone to open an app .001 faster than the previous one? Was there a real life scenario where you can benefit from that thousandth of a second?

I think the result could have been affected by different versions of iOS

Interesting that the geek bench scores are lower on the 15 pro Max and the 16 pro Max on other tests. Maybe for next time to make it a fair test make sure that the phones are both on the same software because the 15 pro max is on iOS 18.1 whereas the 16 pro Max is on 18.0 so I definitely think that affected the result and which is why the 15 pro Max seems a bit faster.

I did see someone actually compress a video or put the iphone to complete a task and the16 pro did it in half the time of the 15 pro, not just open an app what type of speed test is this.
