Thank you, this was my first time changing a filter and your video made it so easy! The person who usually does it for is out of town and he usually charges $30 to clean the filter for each AC and I have six! I've got the same unit, its only been a few days so its not time yet but i cant seem to slide the filter out...feels like im going to break something. I removed the blue tape etc. Maybe i should slide a credit card down? Thanks for this video.

So mine does have the slide out one like this but on top. It doesn't look to dirty but the indicator is still showing to clean the filter. Is there anything I can do about that or is it really just make sure it's really cleaned off?

We're renting and I don't want to try and shake out the AC from the fully painted shut window.

Do you know how to open the entire front panel of that specific air conditioner? I already cleaned the filter but the inside of the air conditioner NEEDS some scrubbing.

Hello. I have this same unit. I cleaned the filter. But it seems that the compressor turns on but then shuts off and it’s as if it’s just blowing the fan air. Also I do hear any water in the system. Sounds completely dry. Any idea what could be the problem? Just bought this unit in April of this year. Could compressor be over heated? I also disconnected the unit for 5 minutes. I heard the compressor kick on and cooled for 5 seconds, then turn off. I’m at whits end with this and I don’t have much money to get someone to fix it. Any suggestions?

I had this model installed into my apartment windows today, and they installed the filter compartment 1-2 inches away from the wall, obstructing the ability to remove it completely. Any tips for this? Other than contacting my landlord, again...
