I have never had one that didn't have the access panel at the bottom front of the machine. Didn't know they made them like this where you got to move the machine to clean it out. That is absolutely ridiculous!

Why on earth would they design the filter in a spot so extremely hard to get at?

It's only Whirlpool that does this. They hide the filter inside the machine so you have to call a service if it gets clogged!😂😂😂

Our old washers had filters with easy access. U could clean the filter each wash.
Washers used to work for 20+ year’s.
Dryers lasted the same. Clean the filters every wash & Dry.

My washers in the U.K. have always had that filter at the bottom of the machine but at the front and easy to access

It is called a "coin catcher" and not a filter. Mine doesn't have them, I just collect them from the drum after the washing cycle finishes.

My washer has the filter tray in the front bottom for very easy access. Amazing what I find. Check your filter

Why is the filter hidden there ?
On my washing machine it is right in front of the machine and easy to access and drain..

In Europe it's easily accessible at the front of the machine behind a plastic flap most of the time.
