How to clean a K&N airfilter #shorts

How to clean a @KNfilters airfilter in a @VolvoCars V40 2003. One clarification, after spraying with the oil, the filter must dry for a certain time. Observe and follow the packaging instructions. No liability is accepted and errors excepted.

Note: Rinse/clean to push dirt out of the receiving side; oil the receiving side

For all the people saying " You have to let it air dry before installing back into car..." No you let it air dry after you clean/wash it, then once it's dry you apply the oil... Then you let the oil spread for about 10-15mins so it fully covers the spots you didn't spray directly on.. The oil isn't going to air dry guys its OIL....

If your using the car same day; would have to buy 2 and rotate; cleaning and drying takes time

After spraying the red oil, you have to let it air dry before installing.

By the way, water should be rinsed from the clean side so that dirt stuck to dirty side(side that air flows in), could be washed out and not like in the video...reversed!

Clean with water from the bottom, spray the oil from the top, is that correct? 😅

i soaked it in liquid detergent water then wash it with water would it damage the filter?

You only spray the top along each wick let sit for 20 min the oil will seep dowm getting the side panel of the wicks... everyone's mistake is trying to get the sides at the start and drench it in oil.

Did you oil it the wrong side???
You don’t want the oil sucked into the engine and mess up the air flow sensors which tell the ECU or EMC….

You didn’t dry it if I’m not mistaken has to be 12-24 hrs that’s why people buy 2 at a time and swap 😂
