A fine distillation of a terrifying reality

There is but one major leverage point we have: one person, one vote. If we ditched the "D's" & "R's" & united(!) to vote AGAINST the millionaire and billionaire ruling class, we might actually take OUR government back! Til then, though, ppl... IDK. #ProgressivismOrDie

So if transnational corporations run the world why don't we boycott them in order to demand change. If only these youtube "influencers" with millions of followers could influence their followers to stop buying apple products unless this trillion dollar company starts doing it's bit to adress these serious global issues. In saying that I'm not so sure I as an individual would like to stand up to these corperations. They've had to play dirty to get to where they are and they are definitely playing dirty to stay there. It's quite depressing actually. I think I'll go back to watching make-up tutorials to distract me from the worlds problems and make me feel happy again....case and point #powerlessness

First he speaks of the dangers of undemocratic institutions and the next he is calling Brexit - the reaction against a completely undemocratic system of governance - a disaster. There is even a glaring contradiction uttered without him seemingly even slightly aware as he never tries to explain it - namely he sites the European Central bank as one of the worst offenders in this neoliberal project (quite correctly) and then he effectively sites the thinking of those that voted against the EU in a democratic vote as the disaffected. He makes some good points but some strange inconsistencies of argument.
