I too considered for the longest time that there must be a chemical in Mentos or something equally fizzy but nope, turns out mentos have tiny holes on their surface through which Coke squirts up like so. When it finds a way out because of the carbon dioxide gas inside, then that place gets into cavity and the bubbles form by good carbonate bursting are aroused these come at last to surface with an explosion — which means, as for Mentos liquid bullet. If you put something with tiny holes in it, the coke will completely bounce.

Wait, mentos have a rough-ish texture so that’s why it rockets, so you don’t need mentos to make the Coca Cola shoot up, you can use rocks ands stuff, so you can make Coca Cola fizz/rocket into the air with anything with a texture
