I used to be a pediatric nurse and diaper cream acts as a barrier to protect the broken down skin. I was taught after you put it on you don’t wipe it off on the next change. Just wipe normally and get rid of the poop. If you need to reapply in areas that is ok. After 1-2 changes it will probably come off and you can gently wipe the sensitive area and apply new. I hope this helps!

You can use puppy pads as changing matts. They absorb everything fast, cheap and disposable.

I’m a soon to be first time mom and I LOVE how I didn’t anticipate ANYTHING you said for any other these tips! Super creative and helpful

A lot of your tips are exactly what I learned with my first. There is so many moms on you tube that think they need all these fancy things but it's refreshing to see another mom just using what you have instead of buying what you don't need

I’m only in my second trimester so I haven’t been doing too much post-birth research (trying not to overwhelm myself). This is the first newborn video I’ve watched and it was so calm and reassuring. It makes me feel a little more informed and capable. Thank you! 😊

We always keep an extra large ziplock bag to put the pooped onsies in. Just pour some water in there and put it back in the diaper bag, throw it in the wash later :)

Just had my baby girl 10 hours ago! This is the best real Mom to Mom tips I’ve seen! Thanks so much 😊

Dreft has an amazing stain remover!!!! Even if it’s been a few hours and the poop has dried I’ll spray it then rub it with paper towel some and leave it for a few minutes and spray it again right before throwing it in the washer. It’s been a life saver and kept white blown out clothes white and clean.

These are great tips! As far as wipe hacks go, when I lay my baby down to change her I open my pack of wipes and go ahead and pull out a couple before I take off her diaper, that way I can just wipe freely, no struggle and if I happen to have one leftover at the end it’s simple to just fold it in half and tuck it back in the pack for later!

As an auntie not having children, I'll be coming back to your channel over and over again. Thank you for this, I'm always trying to look out for mom's self care and mental health. And I want to be supportive of moms before and after the baby is here. By watching this, I can give my cousins who are moms/future moms the breaks they need when I'm called to. There's no manual when it comes to being a parent, and this is the closest thing to it, thank you! I really wish I had your videos in my early 20's when I first started being an auntie, because I wasn't sure how to help. With your videos by my side, I can just look and find the answers I'm looking for.

Not even a mom yet and was glued to the screen. You're so authentic and sweet, love your content 🥰 you also had me giggling which is so rare for YouTubers these days, the poop soup and you trying to describe his privates without getting demonetized was absolute gold! Cheers from a fellow minimalism YouTuber❤️

For the wipes, add a hair band around it. It’ll keep the tissues in and only one will come out :)

For the wipes, I grab like 4 pre-changing so I dont have any problems. I use 4 or less pee or poop to change my baby

These hacks are amazing!!! If you get the large swaddle blankets you can tie the corners together and put it around your neck to cover up that way

That hair band tip is amazing! With my son I don’t remember actually doing anything to keep track and it just worked I guess. But I feel like this time my brain is in shambles and with a toddler already I’ll definitely need reminders! So thank you so much! So simple and effective! Xxx

Great tips! Also in the comments. My babies have had awful diaper rashes for various reasons. ESP that teething poop that causes burns.. the absolute best thing and the most simple plus cheap, is plain cornstarch. Used like a powder on their bottoms, it dries it right up, feels soothing and heals it quickly! I’m never going back again! It’s truly amazing.

I like that several of your hacks don’t even involve buying any new or trendy items at all! This is refreshing. Thanks!🤍

If u are able to, wenever the baby gets a rash, air drying the area works very very well. The rash heals a lot faster.
Car seat tip was awesome thanks for that.
