They would have come out on the other side of the dam. A teenager survived the journey through one of those. The Goose went through that tube for probably like 10-15 seconds before emerging from the other end on the other side of the dam.

Large geese require a forward speed before they can take off (or a counteracting wind). They can’t simply hover vertically like a helicopter. That’s why this goose simply falling down the hole.
