Social media detox while staying alone in an off-grid cabin in the English countryside. I locked my phone away and spent a few days exploring the remote woodlands and living in a solar powered tiny house surrounded by hills and pastures. This was what slow living really looks like. :)

This is where I stayed (affiliate link):
This is one of the cabins by Unplugged Rest - the cabin is called Bunty.

I spent a few days alone in an off grid cabin - this is my very first experience traveling solo, without technology or social media. I found it a bit scary, because I do struggle with some intrusive thinking. The experience was very wonderful though. I managed to conquer some of my fears (brought on by anxiety and intrusive thinking) and actually unplug for a few days.
Have you ever done anything like this? If not, would you want to?

There's a lot of people knocking this girl for filming while being alone. But for a video artist, this is no different than a canvas for a painter or paper and pen for a writer. It's a way of parsing the days and documenting the inner passage of time. It has the added bonus that we get the privilege of peering into that moment of her life after the fact, and maybe learn a little. I, for one, am grateful that she did this and allowed me to share her experience. I wish you the best, Daria. This was a beautiful video.

I’m also an introvert and needed to recharge my battery when I’m
With people. This is exactly why I bought a tiny house in the woods, with a small creek and pond in the country side, I would go there on the weekends and connect with nature, it’s soo refreshing

There are always haters and negative Nellie’s. You’re still doing it alone which is more than some of these trolls have the courage to do

This is a very professional video you have made. So many different camera angles and shots. Many details. It looks great. Congratulations!

I think it is very important that you take a time out to find inner peace. No social media, no loud noises, no city, no hurry, no traffic, no angry people, no polluted air or places. Just only you and the nature.

It is good for your soul, your spirit, your mind and your health. I think what you have done it is the best way to recover energy. The nature is your friend.

I live on the countryside, far away from big citys, in a small village surrounded by nice forests:
no hurry, no angry people just pure decelaration.
For about 4 weeks I didn't go to a city. Yesterday I visited a friend in a very big city (Frankfurt, Germany). The town was horrible, so many people are in a hurry, looked bad and unhappy. The air was so polluted and the city was so loud and noisy. I was happy that I finally made it home. But the reunion with my old friend was very great.

How wonderful it would be if everyone in the world could have moments of peace in their daily lives like in this video.

The world was a much better place before social media and cell phones, glad I'm old enough to remember those days.

I spend half my time off grid with zero connectivity. No cell signal. No telephone. No radio although I could have one. It slows you down. The house is so quiet. Its 1970 again in a way. It makes you very creative and gives you an opportunity to notice all the little things.

Be careful, my dear... When you start taking these kind of short trips alone, it is so that you need to live the experience again and again and again. This is what I do, now. I'm retired, free, and spend one month here, one month there (less expensive when you rent for a month!!!)... always far from the city crazy life and pollution. Always close to the forest, or the sea... I just love it. I also make videos (here on Youtube), paint, draw, write, or just spend time walking in Nature, contemplating its beauty. This is a wonderful way of living. Nothing is more fullfilling than stay close to nature AND ALONE (that means free!)...

What a wonderful place to stay. To just switch off the light bulb of life, and be calm for a few days. I am not scared of being alone with nature, it is people that scare me the most, and so I do live a reclusive lifestyle, with my rescue greyhound Madge. There can be days when I do not talk to another human being, but I am happy with that, as I talk to Madge, and myself! xxx

I have never known someone be able to create such an intimate nostalgic vulnerable feeling in such a short video, they feel like a Disney movie but in real time, so beautiful ❤🥰

Perfect, if you're a writer. All day to read and write without interruptions. The best thing about that cabin, to me, is the large window with which to take in the unobstructed view, and moody weather that I love. Do you think the rain made it extra special? I'm feeling nostalgic about that phone. I miss my Nokia. I had a beautiful red one. I think it was my first cell phone. ♥🥰

You are the real inspiration for me. People don't like my nature even my family members. I'm introvert I really don't like to involve in groups. I don't like to spill tea. I enjoy solo travelling, my room, my company. But People's don't accept my nature. dealing with peoples is a big conflict for me.
I regularly watch your videos. Your videos heal me. You looked serene in this video.
Thank you for inspiring through your videos. And hope you will read this messege. my gratitude will reached to you.

I understand intrusive thoughts, memories that spark the trauma one is trying to outrun, hoping to out live. There is no way to make friends with trauma, or the memories of it. Sometimes visual and audio makes a barrier of temporary protection. I have learned to choose carefully some visual or audio that won’t trigger the trauma memories. Sleep is still difficult as you can’t monitor the dreams and shut them off.
Lovely lass, you do what helps. Don’t judge yourself for needing to escape. Use what comforts you, visual audiovisual, what ever comforts. 🦋

I think this video is adorable, the cabin, the cart, the window, your outfits, it's all so enchanting. You photographed the experience so well.

I have always traveled alone, because if I waited for a travel partner I'd never go anywhere.
