Great stuff.
I'm a first year college student and my lecturer only spent about a minute to give us the definition and a quick, unclear explanation for it... This really hits the point home!

A nice video. I'm recommending it to my students. The final concept is a little troubling, though. It could be argued that a/b -> a does not define a function because the value depends on the way the ratio is written. For example, 1/2 -> 1 but 2/4 -> 2, although 1/2 and 2/4 are the same rational number. Unless it is to be understood that rational numbers are always written in the lowest terms, but I don't think this is necessarily obvious.
