If you have Icing Task Manager installed, remove it.
I recommend doing so before you upgrade.
If you upgrade and this applet is installed, when you reboot, you will be confronted with a nag screen telling you that some applets could not be run, as it is disabled in Mint 19.1

Hello, I'm having a great deal of trouble switching from windows 10 to linux. I watch all your vids so thank you for your channel.
I've tried installing at least 10 times using 19.1, 19, cinnamon, mate, different mirrors, and I've tried with wifi connected and disconnected, I've tried with the live USB made with LiLi and rufus, and no matter what, when it gets to the part of installation of grub2, it just endlessly loops. In the details it just says "mint kernel" some other gibberish, and "invalid report data id (ff)" - sometimes it will say some other things but it then just goes back to invalid report data id. Ive let it sit and loop for hours and it never resolves. The laptop is a 2018 Lenovo ideapad 320...plenty of HD space and 4GB ram. Please help if able. Any ideas? Thank you!

So Im running 18.3 and I know I can go from 18.3 to 19 but can I go straight from 18.3 to 19.2 or do I need to leapfrog to 19 then up to 19.2?

They say Linux is highly customizable. But since I switched from windows 10, Linux mint felt like it was kinda restricted. You can't install a software of choice from the web in a file system like windows except the ones available in the store. Mint seemed kinda unpolished. I keep switching back to windows, luckily I did a dual boot

Question: Running dual-boot LM 18.3 & Win 7. How do I upgrade and maintain my dual-boot? Will LM 19.1 recognize the Win 7 partition as 18.3 did when I installed it?

Hello sir I need your help . I have recently switched from Windows 10 to Ubuntu Budgie. First I am not able to install wifi driver and secondly while installing the OS i just followed the normal installation and didn't selected any partition setting or whatsoever . As i was assured that the files are safe in my other partitions but now i see that all of my files are deleted . And the entire HDD was formatted . Isn't there any possible way of recovering the lost data ?
