Haitian migrants in Dominican Republic report harassment

People from neighbouring Haiti make up an important part of the Dominican Republic's workforce. But last year, the Dominican Republic deported more than 170,000 of them.

And now, with tensions over a new canal on a shared river, Haitian migrants are reporting harassment from security forces.

Totally biased report. We dominicans spend more than 40% of our health budget on pregnant hatians. We provide them with FREE healthcare and education while we hae to pay for health. Some schools have more hatians than dominicans. We provide work and even gave up roughtly 12% of our territory back in 1929 and 1936. We were the first who arrived in the 2010 earthquake to help. It is true that they are mistreated, but name one country that Don't misstreat ILEGAL migrants? We have incompatible cultures, diferent languages and polarized religions. Ever since they were born as a nation they have been unable to make progress due to their destructive culture. Now they're literally STEALING our river and they are the victims? Haitian women crosses the border to give birth purposely in the Dominican Republic. They know the doctors there won’t turn them away: Although the Dominican Republic is a relatively poor country, it treats everyone needing medical assistance regardless of immigration status. 35% of maternity care in the Dominican Republic is occupied by Haitians women, yet the Dominican Republic is not doing enough to help Haiti. Oh wait another stats: Dominican boys and girls are required 12+ documents to attend to schools in the country, yet nothing required for Haitian boys and girls. The real issue here is that the Haitian people need to own up to their problem and fix them within. And the international media should push for France, USA and Canada which has a moral responsibility with Haiti to go help out. Dominica Republic has its own set of problems to solve.

No other country in the world has contributed more to the rescue and development of Haiti than Dominican Republic 🇩🇴.

Most people ignore that Haiti 🇭🇹 defeated Napoleon Bonaparte himself to declare independence and a few years later invaded and oppressed the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 in 1822, leading the Dominicans to declare independence against the Haitians in 1844.

To the international community, please take 5 million Haitians and distribute them in several countries in Europe and the United States. We spend $176, 366, 840.00 each year on assistance for Haitian women in labor, 40% of our hospitals are occupied by Haitians and our school and they do not pay. taxes

Yea they are all "victims" definitely not contributing to a gigantic surge in gang violence that just so happens to coincide with their imagination to DR. Maybe the people of the DR are tired of the lawless culture of the haitians that doesnt mix well with the hard work and helpul culture of the people of DR.
