Pappardelle al Ragú ♕/homemade Pasta and the Bolognese Sause à la Turkuaz Kitchen. Enjoy!
Ingredients
For the Bolognese Sauce:
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 large carrot (chopped)
1 large celery (chopped)
1 medium garlic
1 pound ground beef
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup canned peeled tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato sauce
Salt, black pepper
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cup water or beef broth
Instructions:
In a large saucepan over medium heat, add the oil and butter. Add chopped onions and fry until soft, then add carrot, garlic, and celery and cook for another 2 minutes.
Add the ground beef and using a spoon or fork press and break up the meat and cook until the meat is completely browned.
Add tomato paste, peeled tomato, and tomato sauce, season with salt and pepper, and stir well to combine thoroughly.
Add milk and 1 1/2 cup water or beef broth (you can also add 1 cup red wine) stir and bring to a simmer. When the sauce begins to bubble, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and cook for 2 1/2-3 hours until there is no water left as shown in the IG reel.
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.
Cook pasta until al dente about 6-7 min. Drain it, reserving 1 cup of the cooking water.
Transfer the bolognese sauce to a pan and add the drained pasta to the sauce. Add the reserved pasta water and toss gently to combine.
Transfer to a bowl and serve with parmesan.
