I love how she flips her hair and hits her brother. And while he kinda seems to be slammed against the wall from the impact, she is totally unbothered.
It's a cute and adorably accurate sibling dynamic.

An Italian from the embassy in our country called the pasta we ate "plastic" and fed us his own freshly made lasgna. It was immediately obvious that we'd been eating the plastic version all along. Magnificent.

The sexiest use of “vigorously” I’ve ever heard!

The queen really makes me wanna get in the kitchen and cook all her recipes. She makes cooking seem like a soothing experience.

Tip: after rolling the pasta out, let it dry for 5 minutes then sprinkle with flour, then roll it up and cut it. The drying time REALLY helps prevent sticking and helps it keep its shape.

When I was 18, I lived in Western Australia, in an area full of fruit orchards and I rented a house on one of them belonging to a Sicilian family that I worked for in their fruit packing sheds.
I’m so glad that I was able to have this experience. I watched and learnt to make fresh pasta, preserved fresh peaches and cherries and the yummiest apple fritters EVER 🙂.
But my favourite was watched these beautiful woman sit outside together with their big wooden trough of dough, rolling and then hanging fresh pasta. I’m forever grateful for this experience and to these amazing women.

Oh and they also made wine and homemade sausages.
The sausage making was a big event as several neighbours would get together to butcher the meat (usually pork), then process and prepare it in the natural casings adding wild fennel and dried chilli seed.

To this day, if I’m driving and I see fennel seeds grow on the side of the road, I will stop and collect as many as I possibly can. The taste of wild fennel seed with lamb is a combination I will always adore. I learnt just so much from these beautiful women and even though quite often we didn’t speak the same language, it didn’t seem to matter because food preparation is the language that everyone speaks. Thanks for this video and for the memories it brought back to me.

P.s they had one giant cherry tree amongst their orchard and it had been brought over to Australia from Sicily in a suitcase and then planted in the orchard - it was an amazing tree and such an amazing story too.

I followed her recipe to make pasta and I love it because it's so simple and not added stuff. Just plain eggs and flour, made fettuccine pasta and it came out wonderful. Even Freeze some to make later

This is 100% Inspiring!
I appreciate knowing how things are made traditionally BEFORE machines. Machines are great but I think we should always know how to make them without it, too.

If you have a more thorough video involving exact ingredients (list of preferences, sites online, substitutes) and inches/cm for sizes, I'd love to see it. I don't know how to spell those sizes so it would be great to see this spelled out.

Edit: Couldn't find the Description Setting at first, but I noticed you added it into the description.
Tagliolini - 3mm
Tagliatelle - 7mm
Pappardelle - 13mm
Thanks again!
