Wireless charging technology is showing potential to revolutionize the electric vehicle (EV) industry in China, promising to make EV usage more convenient and appealing for drivers. At a wireless charging station in pilot operation in Nanjing City, motorists are freed from the hassle of manually plugging their EVs into an electricity source using a physical cable. As they wait sitting in the driver's seat for the vehicle to charge up, an in-car app keeps them up to date with the process. Via wireless charging pads embedded into the ground, the cars can also discharge electricity to the grid for usage during peak demand hours. Elsewhere, a model with the wireless charging function has already entered commercial mass production. According to its designers, charging automatically begins once the vehicles pull in at the charging site.

China is just worlds ahead in the EV game! The competitors haven't even come close to matching the current tech used in Chinese EV's and now China announces wireless charging. No wondered that the Americans are pissed off and sleepless not just in Seattle anymore but all over the US. LOL

What would be good would be for small stores and restaurants to be close to these stands so vehicle occupants could go for a meal or shop while their vehicle was recharging. If these could be placed in all apartment blocks to manage local power at peak times it would lower peak demands as well.

very nice to sell back during peak demand hours, should have an app where u can set a threshhold how much to discharge at most so you can just leave your car there and know that you will be able to reach any destination with the battery left over from discharge.
