Lost Origin > Surging Sparks all day long. Having pulled a 10 Tina, Pika Vmax and Aerodactyl, nothing in SS compares and I have 2 cases of SS. Surging will do well long term but no cards in SS compare to the Tina or Aero from LO.

As I recall, LO didn’t have the hype out of the gate that SS has. I have a fair amount of LO but I’m all in on SS (9 different cases). Other than the top two chase cards in LO, I believe the art in all of SV is broadly more appealing. Thanks for continuing to bring us great investor content, Michael!

I agree but also think the Pika will hold a nice value and stay strong. Its a very playable card it sems. so hard to tell the set is so new.

Pikachu SIR is just so mid compared to other SIRs or Alt Arts imo. Saving everything i got for Prismatic Evolutions

I opened quite a bit of SS, 4 PC ETBs and 2 Booster Boxes, and I thought it was pretty underwhelming tbh. The Milotic is the only card I really like from it visually, I would rather buy Lost Origin BBs at their current price than more SS. Just my opinion probably gonna get flamed for it but great vid as always Oz.

Surging sparks also has latios, milotic and 2 other pikachus. I think its the closest SV set to compete with evolving skies that pokemon has released yet.

I don’t know if the Pikachu will match the Caratina in the long term. Right now it looks like the price exploded due to FOMO and PSA 10 prices. I do think this set will be better than lost origin but not on par with evolving skies. This is such a phenomenal set and it has so many top chases. I’m loving it and can’t wait to watch it continue to rise.

I was just at Collect-a-Con in The Netherlands, all vendors had their Surging Sparks boxes at 180€ or about 190$.
