You're kinda forgetting the English sets will sometimes be a combination of two Japanese sets, in Surging Sparks's case it's Super Electric Breaker and Paradise Dragona where the SIR Latias ex came from.

I managed to buy the Pikachu half art. The other Pikachu are going to remain so expensive. Full art is worth $30, Gold is worth $100, and SAR is worth $400.

Dang the artwork on Pokemon cards has come such a long way. i remember when the original mons didn't have the flashiest designs back then. Now those cards are nostalgic and new cards are so cool to look at.
