Just to reiterate a bit. Yes, Zenless has a simple combat system but its complexity shines when understanding how to use all its systems together. Challenging content in the game shows how fun it can be so I'm confident that a lot of you will enjoy it as you progress through the game!

Note: Also sorry about some audio spikes with the gameplay and my voice towards the end of the video. I forgot to adjust those before I rendered the video😭

I get not liking just mashing a button but the fact you CAN play the game by just spamming a button isn’t a bad thing in my opinion, if you’re having fun clicking then keep doing it, if that’s no longer fun then try doing the stuff that makes this game look like the coolest combat on earth.

so basically only people who are complaining are the dumb who are not capable of wrapping their head around the combat systen, so i see this a big W since its better to not have those people in the community anyway

Personally, the reason why i think people think this is a mash game is that there's not really an incentive to not mash. Sure, you can still mash to complete combat scenarios, but thats going to make gameplay boring.

One thing that i hope they implement (but i think its already too late for it) is a combo style system. Yes, I know, its scary to see your combo still in the lower rank, and its gonna be daunting for players to even reach a higher rank, but it could be the best way to incentivize creative combo strings.

This doesn't need to be implemented in the core mechanics of the game. Its only going to be a system that tracks how diversely you play.

If youre willing to mesh it in the system, you can implement it with the ult gauge. If you reach a certain combo rank, your ult will now be available. Although it is cool, it limits the freedom of your combat strategies.

This is a great video. I'm so glad I decided to click on it! If you keep making content on this game after launch, I think I know who my go-to will be for gameplay stuff. I hope your channel takes off because if your other videos are as good as this one (I'm about to go watch them), then you deserve it.

I haven't gotten a chance to try this game out myself yet, but this video makes me believe HYV is striking a great balance here. As a f2p gacha game, it needs to be simple enough to not push away casual players, but enough depth to keep advanced players hooked. That depth looks like it's still a bit on the shallow end, but it seems like a great starting point. If my time with HYV games has taught me anything, it's that the complexity of characters will only increase as the game goes on. These relatively simple characters at the start will be great for teaching players the game's foundation so that they're ready once we start getting characters with freaking novel-length skill descriptions. I'm so excited for the full release!

You have a way to control when you enter the qte attacks, there is a manual mode available. And don’t listen to Wuthering Waves pepegas, the toxic portion of their player base are actually just those embittered ex Genshin players.

Pretty fire video, the combat to me is still really easy follow and reminds me how simple compared to shinobi striker where there was cancel attacks and such before. but this does show that zenless does have some range of combat/gameplay to it that still makes it pretty fair and easy for everyone follow along with like I mentioned earlier. But its still a good combat system none the less, so this will feel right at home for me because of other existing games played previously
