I saw an SNL retrospective, and Norm was talking about his Burt Reynolds impression. He did this version of Burt because it was his favorite. He said that Burt got a kick out of it and was going to come out as a surprise and act even stupider, but Norm was fired before it happened.

My mom used to laugh so hard every time she heard Turd Ferguson. I lost her to cancer 10 years ago. Losing Norm hit me just as hard as I'd watch those clips and I think of her. RIP Mom and Norm

I love Norm’s Burt Reynolds because he doesn’t know (or care) where he is, or what he’s supposed to be doing. My favorite is when he requests non-existent categories for absurd dollar amounts and then ignores Trebek’s response. 😆
