Acoustic Amplification 101 from Peghead Nation

I love playing jazz on my acoustic and don't really like the tone of clean electric guitars so if I ever need to amplify my acoustic, I'm going to look into adding a magnetic pick up. Will the magnetic pick-up work on a nylon string, acoustic guitar?

...You got vocals going in, guitar going in....that small box doesn't handle have to go into the amp....then somehow get that signal out to the venue's PA system, right ???
