The website says...
- The ASUS Router App requires a router firmware version of 3.0.0.4.380 or above
- These models are not supported... "DSL-AC88U, DSL, AC88U-B, DSL-AC3100, DSL-AC87VG, DSL-AC68VG and RT-N12 series"

There are a bunch of icons in the app that I don't know what they mean... and no guide anywhere explaining them.

I should have done it with the app, I tried with my computer on LAN, but after trying to turn off various ad blockers and trying multiple browsers, I figured out that my stupid antivirus, even after making exception for the whole address of the router, was blocking the apply button from working...
But appart from that I am really happy about my RT-AC66U B1 that I installed Merlin on it, the only thing I regret is to be unable to simply upload files to my hard drive plugged into the router without going through the FTP with FileZilla...
If the web page could allow such upload it would be perfect !

Unfortunately, as several chat rooms reveal, the setup is not that simple. The machine keeps asking for ASUS router account and it will connect but not give internet access at that point as it keeps rejecting the ASUS router account

Hi, is it available some manual for router app ? I have a wifi crossed out symbols in device tap and do not know what does it mean. Everything works ok but I would like to understand those symbols assigned to each connected device.

Very useful tool. I wish I'd known about it earlier.
1) Is it possible to configure units? I have a total of 2949036868488 MB showing. I'd rather display in GB. Anyway there must be a bug there. That's 2.94 Exabytes and a bit more than my allowance.
2) How do you reset totals? I'd like to look at last 24 hours, last week, last month etc.
3) I want to know how much I am using in total from the internet (to choose an appropriate contract). Am I right in thinking that wired total + 5Ghz total + 2.4Ghz total should be equal to Internet total?

The process was really a breeze. At first I tried quite a number of other process but couldn't get connected with the internet. At last I found this small but useful video and it was done. Thanks a ton for the guidance. It really helped me through the setup. After completion of the setup can I detach the modem and insert the ethernet cable directly into the wan port of the router ?

Why every time I turn on my wifi I have to install my router [ Asus ]

I have installed my router and wifi is working fine, when back the next day the wifi SSID goes back to Asus and have to reinstall again !!!! Any idea how to fix this. Thank you.
