Wow so you soak the butter mold in ice water as you start the kneading process on the butter. You keep the ice water bath present while you knead then paddle the butter. Then you fill the mold that sat in the ice water with the butter, and this is what allows the mold to release.

I don't own a mixer but it's nice to know you can make butter with one. That would sure save a lot of work but I don't mind churning, I just sing along with the rhythm and before much time it's done!
