It's been 8 years since I upgraded from Word 2002 to Word 2013, and this summer to Word 2021. I STILL miss the Recent Documents menu item list where I could open a recent file from that used to be at the bottom of the File menu. I don't like the big wide Backstage, and if the file I want isn't in the Word Jumplist in the task bar I have to move the mouse to the top of the page to get to the Open command. I can't figure out why no one hasn't created a button that creates a list like the Quick File Access list at the bottom left of Backstage.
