“I shall remember thee, tarnished” always gives me chills.

The fact that he parried his attacks consecutively just let's you know this man is a souls veteran.

Can we just take the moment to appreciate the god tier acting?

It is just me who is loving the fact that bosses have various lore lines in the fight like sekiro bosses?

After 2 days, I finally was able to beat him and I gotta say I love his place in the game. He was there to make you give up, to make you feel that you can't move forward anymore hence his end line "Put this foolish ambitions to rest" hits so different. He was the boss fight that divided those who can tackle elden ring as a soulsborne and those who won't.

"lol this fight looks easy"

tell me you haven't fought Margit the Fell Omen without telling me you haven't fought Margit the Fell Omen

The funny thing is, Margit can fly, is like 10 feet tall, looks like a demon, immortal and can use holy magic to summon swords, spears, knives and hammers, with his tail pretty much a hammer as well.

Yet his preferred weapon of choice is a stick

"Fell omen" is such an appropriate name for this guy. He can really set the tone for what to expect for a new player lol

Notice how he just appeared out of nowhere. He is connected to the spirit realm just like the maiden. He also didnt die after the fight which probably means we will encounter him again later, I am sure. Another thing, his eyes are still golden unlike Godricks eyes for example so that means he didnt lose the grace yet.

"Well thou art of passing skill… Warrior blood must truly run in thy veins, Tarnished" -- It gives me jitters every time I hear him say that half way thru the fight. This is poetry.

I'm just looking at these comments and thinking to myself:
So let me get this straight, you guys are pretty much denouncing the game based on the footage of a known souls veteran beating the literal first story boss you face? Pre-alpha gameplay footage that gives you characters with equipment and spells that you most likely won't get access to immediately when the full game launches, which is something Fromsoft has always done when it comes to gameplay tests of their games?

Man people these days are so freaking entitled it nuts. Reused animations? There is only so many ways you can animate someone swinging a freaking sword. Graphics not good enough for you? Well at least we know you have never beaten a Fromsoft game, otherwise you'd understand their core philosophy is prioritizing artwork and design over making things 'prettier'. I can't wait until the game launches and most of you crybabies are whining about not being able to get past the first field boss Tree Sentinel.
'Looks easy' my ass. 😠

I love that he respects the player for enduring into his second phase

For as simple as it is, that cutscene is one of my favorites. There’s something about his voice, him being so confidence that really intimidates you. And it plays out just like a manga scene. What a fantastic first boss.

I absolutely love the music for this boss fight already!

Bro what? Those parrying skills have got to be the best I've seen. For me, Margit was hard to even dodge. Took me like 8 tries to kill him. Last blow was dealt by my Jellyfish lmao

I'm in love with how he yells out in pain when you parry him. Really hope the rest of Elden Ring has bosses as expressive as this

That title is even cooler because he was given it by the enemies invading the capital after he destroyed so many of them in ambush attacks that they only knew the assailant as a fell Omen that emerged from the dungeons of Leyndell and proved to be unstoppable. Morgott was legitimately undefeated, and was probably on par with Malenia' and Radahn is terms of strength, but he didn't boast about it...he just showed it first hand. No one came close to defeating him as he fought several of his siblings off. To be honest the tarmoahed was probably the first opponent in probably centuries to actually harm him.

He will most likely show up few times later. This may have been a illusion or something, but that dialogue at the end and him not giving a weapon art like I heard other bosses do in this test indicates to me that we will fight him more.
