My favorite part of the steam deck is that it's a computer as well. You can plug it into your tv and use a bluetooth controller, and play these games on the big screen and then take it mobile as well, just like the Nintendo switch. I wonder if you're able to use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse at the same time?

For everyone interested: Steam offers Retroarch within SteamOs, you dont have to fiddle around with Windows and can have more power through natively running the emulators

I suspect some of these emulators would run better in SteamOS, as they have native Linux versions, and it seems there are performance issues with the Deck generally in Windows.

Thanks for testing Shadow of Colossus! I remember trying to emulate that game on my fully specced pc back in the days, and being barely able to move.. Granted, that was probably more that 10 year ago, but seeing it run relatively smoothly on a handheld is still damn impressive!! :)

The Steam Deck actually makes the Odin Pro look overpriced since it's only $100 more and Odin only has Snap845 from 4 years ago. That's not powerful enough for GameCube from my experience owning a Pixel 3.

Careful posting any videos with the YUZU emulator, Nintendo has been slapping those down right and left with their lawyers. Linus from LTT said recently that he was going to make a video where he dumps his games and runs them on the steam deck and dares Nintendo to give him a notice to take it down since they seem to be picking on smaller channels. Should be interesting.

Unbroken Software, LLC YouTube page going over Experimental Linux support for Launch Box / Big Box back in 2020 - has this been improved since? (I don't see any native linux version of this in any case.)
