Boeing 747 BREAKS UP Just After Take Off
United Airlines Flight 811 was a regularly scheduled flight from Los Angeles to Sydney, with stops in Honolulu and Auckland. On February 24, 1989, shortly after leaving Honolulu, the cargo door on the Boeing 747-122 serving the flight failed.
